HCCP Top Brass in Cabanatuan
Upon invitation of the Cabanatuan Auto Club headed by Mico Briones, officials of the Hill Climb Club of the Philippines met up last June 26 with racers from Cabanatuan City and nearby areas, to introduce hill climbing as a motorsport. This presentation was made in line with the debut of the sport in the province on August 15.
In a talk before participating drivers and spectators in the CAC organized 1st Hans Christian Marketing Time Attack held at the N.E. Pacific Mall parking area, HCCP President Blue Reyna and Race Director Edgen Dy-Liacco expounded on the basic requirements for car and driver to venture into hill climbing. Also present to field queries about car preparation were HCCP Director Ernie Garcia and Chief Scrutineer Pam Tolentino.
After conducting three events in Northern Luzon in the first half of 2010, the HCCP moves to Central Luzon on August 15. Nueva Ecija will be the venue of the initial leg of the 3-round HCCP 2010 Series Two with races in Tarlac and Bataan scheduled for September 23 and October 24, respectively.
