ANTON Takes Round 1 Best Time

Baguio City’s Carlos Anton, in his Honda CRX, drove flawlessly and clocked an aggregate time of 1 minute 48.44 seconds to take top honors in the first round of the 2010 Hill Climb Series held in Barangay Bacsil, San Fernando, La Union on Sunday, March 13, 2010.

Aside from bagging the Best Time, the three-time Hill Climb champion finished first in Group 5 followed by Marc Thomann with a time of 1 minute 49.79. Completing the top three finishers in Group 5 is Nick Pacion.

A total of 38 entries signed up for the event which was made possible through the efforts of Mr. Bingo Valero, Mr. Pacoy Ortega and the HCCP in conjunction with Chequered Flag magazine, Villa Estrella Resort in Bauang (La Union), Special Stage in Baguio City, and Prince Plaza Hotel Baguio.

Group 2 – 1st Frankie Domingo 2:01.10, 2nd Jet Ramos 2:02.37, 3rd Julius Querimit 2:02.45
Group 3 – 1st Ramsey Kairuz 1:58.37, 2nd Ryan Yu 2:03.43, 3rd Adrianne Matulac 2:04.36
Group 4 – 1st Haruhito Ono 1:52.07 , 2nd Alfie Concepcion 1:53.81, 3rd Nats Pasion 2:36.35
Historic Cars – Pong Soriano 2:16.48, Eko Adan 2:20.19, 3rd Denis Ku 225.51
